The Black Winter Truffle, also known as the Périgord Truffle, is prized for its bold, earthy aroma and deep, complex flavor—the strongest of all black truffles. These truffles feature a dark, textured outer shell with a richly veined, chocolate-brown interior.

Our summer-season truffles are foraged in Chile, where the Southern Hemisphere mirrors European winter conditions. These high-quality truffles are sold as whole pieces, typically ranging from 1oz to 1.5oz each.


Handling & Storage Tips:

  • Store in the refrigerator, ideally in an airtight container.

  • Wrap truffles in unbleached paper towels to reduce moisture and change the towel daily.

  • Moisture is the truffle’s worst enemy—keep them cool and dry.

  • Use within several days for the best flavor and aroma.


Note: Truffles are foraged, not farmed. As such, their flavor, aroma, and appearance can vary naturally. We hand-inspect each truffle for quality and aroma, but we cannot sample them individually.
